Disputes
  1. Only possible on an order someone already took and that is in progress.
  2. Wait 10 minutes from the moment it was taken. Before that the bot will not let you.
  3. Type /dispute. If you have several orders, the bot asks which one.
  4. The bot notifies the other person and the alphas.
  5. An alpha takes the case. The bot tells you who it is. You write to them, tapping their name.
  6. Meanwhile the satoshis stay held by the bot. Nobody takes them.
  7. The alpha decides: hand the sats to the buyer, or return them to the seller.

If the seller already released the sats, there is nothing to dispute: the money is gone. Do not open disputes out of impatience; the bot keeps count of how many each person opens.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to start?

Telegram and a Lightning wallet. That is all.

Do I need an invitation?

No. The bot is open: send it /start and you can trade.

Do you ask for ID or personal data?

No. There is no registration and no identity check. The bot only knows your Telegram username.

How much does the bot charge?

0.5% of the trade, paid by the seller. The buyer pays no fee.

How much can I buy or sell?

Between 100 and 2,000,000 satoshis per trade.

What price does it use?

The market price from yadio.io, plus the premium or discount set by whoever posted the offer.

How long does a trade take?

Typically an hour and a half until someone takes your offer. After that the seller hands over the sats in about two minutes. The rest depends on how long the money transfer between you takes.

Which wallet works?

Zeus, Wallet of Satoshi, Speed, Primal, OneKey, Blink, or any Lightning wallet.

What if nobody takes my offer?

After 23 hours it is removed from the channel automatically. Before that you can remove it with /cancel.

Can I cancel after it was taken?

Only if you both agree: one asks to cancel and the other accepts. Once the buyer has reported the payment, the bot blocks cancelling. Then it is /dispute.

The sats never arrived, what do I do?

Usually your invoice expired. Send a new one with /setinvoice and the bot pays you.

What is private mode?

With /privatemode on your offers cannot be taken by just anyone: the bot gives you a token and only whoever has it can take them. You decide who gets it.

How do I avoid getting scammed?

Never release the sats without seeing the money in your account. Screenshots of receipts are easy to fake. Be wary of anyone rushing you, of anyone asking you to cancel after saying they paid, and of payment methods where money can be reversed or frozen. When in doubt, /dispute.
